Not really a trend but hey, learning something new was one of my new year’s resolution! (excuse the blue box...)

I’d admit it. I actually don’t bother with my hair as much as I need to and it’s shocking I get told by my hairdresser that I’d make a load of money if I sold it? But like said, this year I’ll definitely learn something but this French Twist requires longish hair…so it’s not for me currently. But it’s definitely something, if you can, you should try!
With courtesy of Howtodothings.com's guide, here are the step-by-steps to do it- but written briefly to make it easier!
· Brush or comb your hair well- it can’t be stressed enough! Use grips on either side to keep it steady.
· Make a loose ponytail- you can choose whenever it goes lower or higher
· Hold your ponytail and twist it upwards in the clockwise direction
· When twisting it, wrap it around your thumb and hold it all in
· Finish it all off by using big/bobby pins to hold the twist!
· If there’s flicky hair at the top, just tuck it inside the twist and voila!
Even though I haven’t really attempted this updo…I can tell it won’t be easier doing it yourself! But the instructions are so simple and it looks really classy!
And to make things even more easier, I've added this short video from youtube to show you how to master the French Twist

It’s a big world :: I can fly! Introducing the Peter Pan collars
The Peter Pan collar is one of those things you’ll love or hate and although it took off last year, it still has its spotlight! What I personally love about this trend is that it’s incredibly feminine and unique and that it can be brought into anyone’s wardrobe, either for work or dressing up.
It’s been featured on the catwalk by Anna Sui, it’s been worn by celebrities like Emma Watson and Alexa Chung and now it’ll make its way to our closet J
Simples.
Channel this cute peter pan collar look in your everyday wear, by using this simple and cheap Peacock dress and pair it up with matching crochet shoes and cardigan! Throw on these black opaque tights (sorry, you maaay have noticed i have an obsession with these tights...) and finish it off with this amazing satchel bag and you're ready to head out! Just to add a bit of bling-bling, i've mentioned these rather vintage detailed rings for the fun of it! :)
I want to try something new.
Maybe I can't get over how lovely this blouse looks, or how unique these shoes are or how eye-catching the bangle-bracelets are..but i really love this outfit :')
To start off, i've used this blouse as it can be appropriate for casual wear to formal and the tan-beige colour of it goes well with anyone's outfit! These trousers aren't the regular skinny jeans so they'd be a great substiution and wearing them with these heels give a rather classy touch <3 To add a more trendy vibe, this tribly does the job! Finally, the bangles are just to complete the look.
Look! I can fly!
Just to say beforehand, maybe I got a tad excited about this trend so excuse the long-going-ness of this post! Sorry!

I can't tell you guys how much i love this outfit! Firstly, this beautifully made peter pan dress is so unbelievably gorgeous and the colour?! The orange colour is a great way to bring colour to your wardrobe! Because the dress is pretty dang eye-catching itself, i've kept the outfit simpler by adding these stunning statement earrings and toned it all down with these tights which look fabulous with these wedge-boots!!
Believe in Fairies because i do, i do.
Believe in Fairies because i do, i do.
This will be the final outfit! :') I had to add another evening wear outfit because of this dress!
The dress has a really nice colour pallette to it and the sequined pattern to it is incredible :) I really love the flareness of the skirt-bit of the dress because it's fun and really feminine! To make this more into the rockstar-edgey outfit, i've used this lovable thigh-high sexy black boots and in case it's chilly outside, i've used these ribbed tights! (yup, i've used different tights!) And to lay more on the trendier side, i've added this aviator jacket which looks amazing with the dress!!

Famous Designers:: Roberto Cavalli for SS11
I really like this collection from Cavalli. It's like explorer meets Gypsie with a modern twist and the lifeless, pastle colours add to the whole outdoor effect.
You can just picture the fringing blowing in the breeze as it hangs effortlessly down the body and the detail, although it may look tatty and dishevelled from afar, is quite exquisite and thought through upclose.

Boys & Girls of NY Fashion Week SS2011 by Justin Wu
I stumbled across this video and felt the need to share it with you because it's so brilliant.
If you believe that models off the runway are boring, self obsessed, conceited arseholes who spend their free moments starving themselves or deliberately throwing up (ok, maybe I've gone too far with the negativity but they aren't my opinions) then please watch this. It really shows how fun and carefree models can be. A much better representation, if I may say so myself.

Inspired:: Flickr Addict Series- No.2
Inspiration can be taken from all sorts of media, really. And I've probably gone for an easier option, but Flickr is definately one of those thought-provoking website, where people can upload, edit, explore or share their images with everyone. To some extent, the images do illustrate a different perspective so I've decided that a fashion interpretation can be expressed vividly. Please note that no credit will be taken for any of the Flickr Images and the links to them will be provided below.
The Day before.
The Day before.
This time I was aiming for a more vintage-feel and this picture definately highlights the beige-brown-cream colour pallette! The structure of the houses and bulidings adds depth to the image and the dark colours give an old-fashioned touch <3
I created an outfit from this picture by adding a brownish-vintage smock top with a little bow and paired it with similar coloured skirt and blazer. The skirt portrays the uneven pattern of the sky and the shadowed town, and this fitted blazer adds structure to the whole outfit! For warmth, just throw on a nice crotchet cosey black scarf and black opaque tights! These brogue has a similar hue of the top and has interesting detail and this ring is just a way to add colour :D Perhaps this outfit's perfect for them interviews or formal wear! But deduct the blazer for a long cardigan would make it more suitable for casual wear :D
Go Ahead...
I don't know about you, but this reminded me of Matrix :) or Hitman..or the Oceans. I watch too many of them sort :')
But the monochrome pallette caught my eye and the focus of the gun would just something too eye-catching. I'm a hat person, therefore the guy's hat played a role in the outfit I've created!
To get the FBI-Super Spy outfit, the outfit involves black attire and would be suitable for them formal events or the perfect night out <3 To start off , the whole theme made me think of this ladylike black trench coat and the gold buttons suit the gold detail of the black dress! The one shouldered black dress has a rather feminine touch and the interesting detail on the shoulder adds sophiscation :) As you can see, I've used this black studded tribly and also paired it with these stunning black courts! <3 Additionally, I've used black opaques again and involved these detailed gold earrings :D

SS11:: Stary Eyed
There are more times than others when I desperately aspire to have a job in fashion just so I can receieve items of fantastic clothing for free. Say, a dress from Christopher Kane's Resort collection -so magical and awe-inspiring, I can see it on me right this moment.
Keep fantasising, Frankee.
Now, I'm no scientist but I do find space quite fascinating and Christopher's designs (taken from images from the Hubble telescope) bring out what's great about the universe into fashion.
The collection sees a mixture of shift dresses, ruffles, crop tops and the sleek and elegant but it's the colours that really stand out. Colour being something Christopher is well known for seeing as he entered the fashion world with a debute of neon and entitled his other spring/summer '11 collection 'Princess Margaret on acid'.
Below is my favourite. It's flowing and fairy-like but the little matching biker jacket gives it a slight edge.
and this is nearly equally adored. It's so mystical and explosive. Plus the colours are just perfect.

Inspired: through the lense of Bella Howard
Bella Howard is a photographer who's worked on campaigns for Topshop, Nylon, ID and Dazed and Confused. I discovered her work the other month and have since fallen in love with it. There is nothing that unique about it, though (and I'm sure she would not mind me saying that) so perhaps I am just a tad jealous of the rad life she appears to have.
Bella's photos (which you can find here: http://www.bellahoward.co.uk/ ) are focused on young, trendy hipsters. They are about travelling, living life to the full and not being afraid to go a little bit wild and break the rules. She's shot pictures of Karl Lagerfeld, the Mystery Jets, La Roux and the rather controversial Jedward. If this isn't someone who is at the hights of today then who is? As well as that, most of her work is focused on her friends and what she is up to, which gives a personal touch but also something you may be able to relate to.
Below are some images I have picked out but if you're intregued for more then here is Bella Howard's blog: http://bybellazine.blogspot.com/
