SS11:: Disaya

Disaya Sorakraikitikul (Try pronouncing that in a hurry. Or at all), most known for her cute and funky jewellery designs, has launched her spring/ summer 2011 clothing range.

The Disaya collection was inspired by a 17th and 18th century Portuguese tradition where girls created a hankerchief to demonstrate their love for their chosen man.
It sees her taking a more vintage, sophisticated approach with bland colours taking control. It's pretty though and I'm really fond of the photos used to advertise this new collection.

The scenery's well suited to the outfit, thought through and not just a boring backboard.
It blends in with the patterns used, which looks artistic and representable.

Her previous ready-to-wear collections have been worn by the likes of Agyness Deyn and Jennifer Lopez and Disaya says that she would love to dress for Alexa Chung.
With these latest designs, I can see that happening as some of of them are very Alexa-like
.
